Magazine Advert

Draft 1:

Final Draft:

The magazine advert at the top was my first attempt, in this I used a colour image, after creating my digipak and using only black and white I wanted to continue this theme, therefore in the second magazine advert I used only black and white contrasts. I used Photoshop to put this together and did so, in order to create transparency and harsh contrasts, to reflect the genre and conform to the extreme editing styles I found during my research process.

I incorporated the band name and used the biggest font to do so, and then smaller fonts the less significant or important. I used an ITunes download sticker and website to attract my target audience and I decided on the locations based on where band like mine usually perform.

Digipak

My original digipak did not have aside panel and did not display the album name.

First draft:

In this first image, the front and back panels are displayed, along with the side strip which joins the two together. I chose to use an image which features in our music video to reinforce the idea that this album features our single, however chose this image also because it is diverse and feel it could represent any of the songs on the album. I chose to have a black and white theme due to the fact that we use a lot of black and white in our music video but also to reflect our chosen genre, as many alternative rock digipaks are generally dark and isolating.

The second image is of the inside panels of my digipak, I again chose an image from our music video, however this time I have used an image which refers to the band, specifically the lead singer who is also the protagonist of our narrative music video.
